Terms of use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This is an English translation for your convenience. The Greek version is the legally binding one.
These terms apply to your use of the Sitadiko (Σαϊτάδικο) platform (sitadiko.gr) and to every purchase you make through it. By creating a website, signing in or paying, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Who we are
The service is provided by:
- Business name: Αναστάσιος Γκόρτζας του Σεραφείμ (ατομική επιχείρηση)
- VAT no. (ΑΦΜ): 154468940 · Tax office: Amarousiou (Marousi)
- Address: Dimitras 14, 151 24 Marousi, Greece
- Email: [email protected] · Phone: 698 381 1159
2. What the service is
Sitadiko lets you build your business website yourself, with a step-by-step guide and an editor, and then pay for it and publish it. Optionally, we provide hosting, connection to your own domain, extra services (SEO, a logo, copywriting, a second language) and hours of help from a real person (“our expert”, the «μάστορας» in Greek).
Creating and previewing a website is free. You only pay when you want it to go live.
3. Account and access
- You can create a website without an account; in that case the website is linked to your device and browser.
- So that you don't lose access, we recommend signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
- You must be at least 18 years old and entitled to represent the business you are building the website for.
4. Your content
The text, photos, logos, price lists and details you put on your website are yours, and you are responsible for them. You confirm that you have the right to use them and that they are true and lawful. You give us permission to store them, process them technically and publish them, only as far as needed for your website to work.
Content is not allowed if it:
- infringes other people's copyright, trademarks or personal data;
- is illegal, misleading, defamatory, racist or offensive;
- promotes fraud, phishing, malware or unsolicited email (spam);
- concerns products or services that are prohibited by law or by the rules of our payment provider.
If we learn that a website breaches the above, we may take it down temporarily or permanently, usually after notifying you. In serious cases (e.g. fraud) we take it down immediately.
5. Photos and material we provide
The ready-made photos come from free stock photo services (e.g. Unsplash, Pexels) and are used in line with their licences. You may freely use the platform's template texts and designs on your website. The code and design of the platform itself remain ours.
6. Prices and payments
- All prices are in euros and include VAT.
- Payments are made by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- For every payment we issue the legally required document (a receipt, or an invoice if you give us your VAT number).
- We may change our prices; changes do not affect anything you have already paid for or your current subscription period.
7. Hosting and subscriptions
- Hosting is charged to your card automatically every month until you cancel it.
- You can cancel monthly hosting whenever you like; it stays active until the end of the month you have paid for.
- The “Website + Hosting as a subscription” option (29 €/month, or the reduced launch price if it applied when you signed up) has a minimum term of 12 months, because you don't pay anything upfront for the website. If you stop it earlier, you owe the remaining months up to 12. After that you can cancel whenever you like.
- If a payment fails, we let you know by email. If it isn't sorted out within 14 days, the website may be taken offline temporarily. Its data is kept and the website goes back online as soon as the payment is made.
- If you choose to host the website yourself, we give you its files. From then on, its operation, security and updates are your responsibility.
8. Domain
Every website gets a free address in the form name.sitadiko.gr. If you want your own domain (e.g. mybusiness.gr), you register it yourself with any registrar you like, and it is yours. We simply connect it to the website. Renewing the domain is your responsibility.
9. Help from our expert
- Our expert's time costs 20 € an hour and is bought in packs. It is paid in advance.
- We contact you within one working day of payment to agree on what will be done.
- Hours must be used within 6 months of purchase. Unused hours are refunded if you ask for this within that period.
10. Right of withdrawal (for consumers)
If you are a consumer (meaning you are not buying for business purposes), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, by writing to us at [email protected].
When you press “Pay & publish” to put your website online, you expressly ask for the service to start immediately. Therefore, under Greek Law 2251/1994:
- for the one-off cost of the website, which is delivered immediately and is personalised for you, the right of withdrawal is lost as soon as the website is published;
- for hosting and expert hours, if you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the amount minus the value of what has already been provided.
Most of our customers buy as businesses. In that case the right of withdrawal does not apply, but if you're not happy, write to us and we'll find a solution.
11. Availability and backups
We do everything we can to keep websites available at all times and we take regular backups. We cannot guarantee operation without any interruption at all, e.g. during maintenance or when our providers have outages. If planned maintenance is going to take a long time, we let you know in advance.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost customers, caused by your website being interrupted or not working properly. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to damage caused by intent or gross negligence, nor to any rights the law gives you as a consumer.
13. Messages from your visitors
The messages your visitors send through your website's form are your data. You are the “controller” and we process them on your behalf, only in order to deliver them to you (Article 28 GDPR). We don't use them for any other purpose and we delete them when you delete them or when the website is closed. You are responsible for informing your visitors about how you use their details.
14. Stopping and deletion
You can stop using the service and ask for your website and your details to be deleted whenever you like. Before deletion, you can ask us for your website's files. We may stop providing the service to you if you seriously breach these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. For significant changes we notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription at no extra charge before the changes take effect, even if its minimum term has not been completed.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. For any dispute we will first try to find a solution together with you. If you are a consumer, you can also contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman for out-of-court resolution. The courts of our registered seat have jurisdiction, unless the law provides otherwise for consumers.
